Estopia Accounts
This is the website for managing your Estopia Account, built with React.
This project has been archived. Development stopped when I moved my focus to Estopia Engineering.
This way of managing accounts has been discontinued since there is no customer facing services currently that require this.
Project Overview
I am excited to be able to release this small but useful website, since this had a lot of functionallity that was needed for this system. I created this to practice my React skills and my knowledge of security. This project was developed fully by myself, which helped me grow my skills in these fields independently. This website is bassicly fully complete as well. This project has strengthened my understanding of React, security and user management.
Project Highlights
- 2FA: This website uses features like email, whatsapp and authapp 2fa methods.
- Security Tokens: These are randomly generated tokens that have to be used when changing major user details, these expire after 15 mins.
What I learned
- Authentication Flows: Learned how to implement secure authentication and 2FA in a React application.
- API Integration: Improved my skills in connecting the frontend to backend APIs and handling async data.
- Network Management: I learned how to close off special routes that require this Secure Token.
Challenges and Solutions
Challenge: AuthApps I didn’t know a good way to display the QR Code
Issue: The issue was I didn’t know how to make a good way to display this QR Code.
My fix: I looked at some other sites and decided using a image model would be the best way to do this.
Link to the Project
This project is currently hosted on https://account.estopia.net, this is the main website for managing your Estopia Account.
Future Plans
The future plans for this project is to have it integrated into main Estopia Services such as chat.estopia.net but still have this as a backup.
Conclusion
Even though this project is still a quite small project, I am happy with what I have been able to make within a small time frame ( less than a month ). I am looking forward to trying to integrate this into the main Estopia Services and seeing how it will challange me especially on diffrent platforms.
